Meet the Regional Manager of our Middle East office
The Middle East is a hub of exciting, innovative and boundary-pushing design and construction, making our team there a fundamental support to the region’s construction industry. At the helm is the talented Fuad Iskafi, a veteran of more than 30 years in the construction and construction claims industries, and an astute and thoughtful businessman whose proactive approach ensures that client interests are always at the forefront of what we do. Let us introduce you…
Background in engineering, technology and construction claims
Originally from Canada and fluent in both English and Arabic, Fuad started his career studying Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Arizona State University. He has since further developed his qualifications in Management of Claims and Resolution of Disputes, Professional Project Management and FIDIC Conditions of Contract and Claims Management.
Before joining the Tungsten Capital team, his significant roles included Operations Manager at Blackcat Engineering and Construction Company in Doha, and working as the Mechanical Engineer on a general turbine system in Arizona, USA.
A seasoned professional in project management and construction claims
Fuad’s experience in managing EPC projects with legislative requirements means he also has extensive skills in estimation, engineering and procurement of projects in the oil and gas sector, petrochemical and fertiliser industry.
He has expertise working for high profile regional and international clients across the Middle East, and has a proven track record in contributing to the improvement of project profitability, cash flow and the control of commercial risks.
Fuad has a full understanding and working knowledge of the key legal risk areas on construction projects, such as contractual liability, insurance requirements, defective performance and warranty obligations for goods and services. With that skillset, he oversees the running of our team in the Middle East, and is highly adept in defining and implementing best practices, standards, processes and tools to achieve objectives and goals in line with the client’s interests.
Furthermore, he has a keen sense of business requirements and an exceptional aptitude for managing large scale projects from inception to completion. Ultimately, Fuad embodies the qualities that we admire, prize and nurture across Tungsten Capital’s global team.
